El-Kanemi Warriors quest to remain in the Nigeria Professional Football League was on the ride as they defeated 10-man Niger Tornadoes on Saturday.
Chinedu Ohanachom scored the first goal of the game,late in the first half after he was played through on goal by Matthias Samuel.
The game became more difficult for the visitors as they were reduced to 10 men in the 65th minute after their goalkeeper Mustapha Aliko was sent off for a foul on substitute Japhet Daniel in the box.
The penalty was converted by Hussaini Mohammed who sent substitute goalkeeper Nobas Omoregie the wrong way.
El-Kanemi Warriors moved 4 places up from 14th position to 10th place following the win, while Niger Tornadoes remain in the 13th position.
