Youngster Marcus Rashford says he is ready to play as a No.10 for Manchester United if called upon by the club’s manager Jose Mourinho.
The England international has played as a winger or forward since breaking into the first team at Old Trafford last season, but he plays in a more deeper role with United’s academy.
Since the arrival of Jose Mourinho,Wayne Rooney has been playing behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic but has failed to make an impact, and reports have it that Mourinho is ready to drop the struggling captain.
And Rashford has now indicated his willing to take on the 30-year-old’s responsibility as the center Midfielder for the senior side.
“I don’t regret playing in the No.10 role because it means now I can still play there if I need to,” Rashford told Inside United.
“Playing as No.10, on both wings and up front as well. It means I have more in my armoury when it comes to the matches.
“But the type of the player I want to be now is different to the type of player I wanted to be then.”
