Sunshine stars like other clubs in the Nigeria professional football league in the past has witnessed much match violence most times by angry fans who expressed dissatisfaction over what they described as poor officiating by referees.
This season alone sunshine stars had reasons to appeal to fans on several occasions using several means to call for calm during league matches which did not really materialized.
Matches involving lobi stars,shooting stars and most recent against Heartland fc are some of the matches that attracted attention from all stakeholders including the leave management company LMC.
Following the sanction by LMC of the sum of two point five million naira and a close door game in the week 37 match against struggling Warri wolves the management have promised to end all forms of violence at the stadium come next season.
Speaking exclusive to Blitz sports, media officer of the team WAHAB BANKOLE said,president of the Ondo state agency prince Ola Mafo consulted organised a meeting with stakeholders to nip the ugly seen in the bud.
WAHAB also noted that strategies have been concluded to make the stadium the most peaceful of all, come next season.
When asked of the hope of the team in picking a continental ticket WAHAB said the players have been told of the need to get the ticket and have promised to win the remaining two matches against Warri wolves and Wikki tourist of Bauchi.
