The Super Eagles of Nigeria will depart Abuja on Saturday morning on a chartered flight for a 2018 World Cup qualifier against Zambia, officials have announced.
Media officer of the Super Eagles,Toyin Ibitoye disclosed: ”We will now leave for Zambia on early Saturday morning. It is a direct flight and it will be five hours by air.
“The coaches have thought it out, they want us to train as many times as possible in Abuja and also rest well before match day.
“It won’t be counter-productive, we will get there in good time, rest well and have a feel of the pitch before we play.”
The team will begin training Tuesday by 10am and 4.15pm inside the Abuja National Stadium.
The earlier arrangement was for the team to depart on Friday.
