Leave Enyeama alone -Ike Shorunmu

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper and goal keeper trainer, Ike Shorunmu, has insisted that the decision of the former captain of the super Eagles, Vincent Enyeama to quit the national team should be respected.

Shorunmu urge current Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr to keep faith in Wolverhampton Wanderers’ goalkeeper Carl Ikeme who has five clean sheets in his first seven games.

“There have been several calls for him (Enyeama) to return to the team, but he has insisted and his decision should be respected even if the manner at which he exited the international scene was not a good one,”

‘’ He also said Carl Ikeme and Ikechukwu Ezenwa should be encouraged and given the same opportunity that was given to Enyenma.’’
