Super Eagles intensify training ahead of Algeria

The first training session of the Super Eagles of Nigeria ahead of their World Cup 2018 qualifiers against Algeria took place today at the training pitch of the National Stadium Abuja with 20 players in attendance.
However among the 20 players who turned up for the session, two players sat out the entire training session, and did light works with the team doctor, with ice packed later applied to their legs.
Mainz 05 stopper Leon Balogun and Olympiacos forward Brown Ideye were the two players who didn’t join their teammates in training, apparently nursing knocks picks up during games for their team last weekend.
They trained for one hour, 30 minutes session which was very light as coach Gernort Rohr helped the players shake off the stress of travelling down for the game.
A more intensed and demanding session will take place later in the evening by 4pm
