Ahmed Musa set for Champions League windfall

Nigeria international, Ahmed Musa and his Leicester City teammates are set to pocket a cool £100,000 each for their success in the UEFA Champions League.
Leicester may be struggling in the Premier League at the moment but the Foxes have been fantastic in the Champions League and they managed to seal a place in the knockout stages of the competition with a 2-1 victory over Club Brugge on Tuesday night, claiming top spot in Group G in the process.
Making it into the last-16 of the competition certainly represents a huge achievement for the East Midlands and as reward for their exploits, the players are set to receive a collective bonus of around £2.5 million which equates to just over £100,000 per every player in the 24 man Champions League squad.
According to UEFA rules, Musa and pals will receive approximately £4.6m for taking part in the Round of 16 plus £1.3m per group win (stands at four) and £420,000 per group draw (stands at one), adding a further £5.6m to the coffers.
