Gernot Rohr omits Dominic Solanke from Super Eagles game against Senegal

Super Eagles technical adviser Gernot Rohr has penciled down a possible list of five players he intends to call up for the friendly against Senegal but Chelsea teen forward, Dominic Solanke is not included as he is yet to agree to a potential switch of international career from England, where he is a youth international to Nigeria.

Rohr is wary of a repeat of the drama that happened when Tyroone Ebuehi turned down the chance to team up with the Super Eagles during the last World Cup 2018 qualifiers against Algeria.

”We want to avoid a repeat of what happened last time out with Ebuehi, so Solanke won’t be called up, at least for now until talks and grey areas are ironed out properly”, a source said.

”For now Olarenwaju Kayode, Anthony Nwakaeme, Victor Anichebe, David Nwokolor and Isacc Success if he is fit, are the players most likely to be in the squad for the friendly game against Senegal.”
