Enugu Rangers halts Chisom Egbuchulam’s move to Tunisia

A new twist has emerged in the transfer of Rangers top man, Chisom Egbuchulam to Etoile Shahel of Tunisia as Rangers officials have declared him AWOL even after they have been negotiating with Etoile a transfer fee for the player.

A statement by the Director Media of and Public Relations of Rangers Fc, Foster Chime, said the Board’s position is that the Tunisian club Etoile Sportive du Sahel have illegally poached Rangers FC player, Chisom Egbuchulam and Rangers FC have not agreed any terms with Etoile Sportive Du Sahel.

“Rangers FC did not give any official permission to Chisom Egbuchulam to travel to Tunisia or approval to leave his primary area of assignment,” reads the statement in part.

Rangers have also written the Confederation of Africa Football and world soccer governing body, FIFA to intervene in the matter by stopping the Tunisian club from ‘stealing’ their player.
