Former Chelsea assistant coach, Ray Wilkins has described Victor Moses as a better wing-back than teammate, Marcos Alonso and also said the club cannot cope without the Nigeria international.
‘Easy to play down the importance of Victor Moses but when you look around the squad, he is one player who appears not to have a replacement in the team at the moment,” he said.
‘Diego Costa and N’golo Kante are players you think they can’t replace but in the squad they have players who play similar role as them, so easy to replace them unlike Moses.’
Analysing the impact of Moses and Alonso so far under Conte’s 3-4-3 formation, the former England international says Chelsea still needs a better option in place of the Spaniard.
“Alonso has done well on the left, but I personally think they (Chelsea) can find a better option.
“(Victor) Moses has been revitalised on the right.” Wilkins wrapped up.
