Paul Merson, a former England international and pundit has been impressed by Chelsea star Victor Moses this season.
The Nigeria international returned to Stamford Bridge last summer following a loan spell with Stoke.
And he was expected to be sold as Antonio Conte overhauled the squad he inherited from Jose Mourinho.
Moses has since proven his doubters wrong though by establishing himself in Chelsea’s first-team plans.
Now Merson has hailed the 26-year-old’s turnaround in fortunes.
And he’s suggested Moses is just as crucial for Conte as two of his more illustrious team-mates.
Merson told Sky Sports: “The shift he puts in!
“You talk about Eden Hazard and Diego Costa but Moses has been as important as anyone in making this system work for Conte and he’s also scored some important goals.
“To consider he’d never really played that role before is just incredible.”
Moses has made 21 appearances for Chelsea this term, bagging four goals.
He’ll be hoping to retain his place in Conte’s team to face Peterborough on Sunday.
