Shooting Stars captain Seun Akinyemi has called for support from the Oyo State Government ahead of the new season.
Akinyemi said, “We need government to intervene in our affairs, to pay up our outstanding salaries and motivate the team ahead of the new season.”
“It was not that we were not good last season, but the motivation was not there.”
“We hope the season will be far better than last season in terms of prompt payment of salaries, match bonus and the players will go out there to play their role by winning matches and fight for continental ticket.”
“Coach Fatal Amoo is a good coach with meaningful experience in the league. And with him we can hit it big this season.”
Shooting Stars will kick start their new season on Sunday at home against Lobi Stars.
