Coach of the defending Champions of the 2015/16 Nigeria Professional Football League season, Imama Amapakabo has lamented about the state of the national stadium in Abuja that hosted the Charity Cup match against FC Ifeanyi Ubah on Wednesday.
Imama said in an interview , “It looks like a grazing pitch where nobody can play good football. It’s more frustrating when your team is used to playing feee flowing soccer and the pitch impedes your efforts.”
“Congrats to FC Ifeanyi Ubah for their victory but that won’t stop us from defending our title when the new season kicks off this weekend.” Imama added.
The new NPFL season kicks off on Saturday across Nigeria.
Rangers lost the game 4-3 on penalties after 90 minutes of regulation time.
