Warri Wolves pays outstanding salaries to players and officials

Players and officials of Warri Wolves have been paid two months outstanding salaries as they fight to stay up in the Nigeria premier league.

Coach of the side Mansur Abdullahi disclosed that his players have been paid two months’ salaries from the five months’ salaries outstanding.

“It’s a big boost for the team as we still hope to beat the drop,” said Coach Mansur.

The team’s financial woes were further worsened when armed robbers snatched six-match bonuses from an official.

Wolves are 16th on the table with 39 points from 33 matches.

Warri Wolves last three matches are – Shooting Stars (home), Sunshine Stars (away) and Ikorodu United (home).

Things have changed for Warri Wolves as they finished runners-up last season.
