Imama Amapakabo to get a new contract with Enugu Rangers

The reigning Champions of the Nigeria Professional Football League have said they will not part ways with their coach Imama Amapakabo.

Rangers won the 2015/2016 NPFL title on the final day of the season defeating El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri 4-0.

Rangers have decided to reward Amapakabo with a new contract after the previous one expired.

Enugu State Commssioner, Charles Ndukwe said “We’re talking about plans for the next season as regards preparation for the CAF Champions League and the domestic league

“Even Imama himself said on Sunday that what is uppermost in his plans now is adequate preparation for next season.

“That alone confirms that he is willing to stay as we are determined to work with him because continuity is effective to success.”
